Techniques

Contemporary glass techniques include various techniques using glass as the main material, including stained glass, dalle de verre, glass collage, engraving and etching techniques.
The decision of employing a single one or a blend of these techniques is influenced by the need of each space, and the vision of the Architect Designer or Decorator. Each project is designed specifically for the space in which it is applied and results from a variety of designs presented to and improved based on feedback of the receptor (the client). In this case the artist has studied Architectural glass and design, therefore suggestions and the final output are the outcome of many years of experience composing similar works.

Selecting your work of art

The advantage of a glass art installation compared to other art works or materials, is that glass  harmoniously completes the architectural and interior design. Depending on size and type of space and the quality of the glass, glass techniques can work with artificial or natural lighting. With artificial lighting, they also function as a light source in the space.
Contemporary glass technique applications offer a quality environment in which one lives or interacts with other people, positively affecting mood and stimuli. One can choose a project either on a personal basis, or upon consultation from the supervising Architect or Designer, who has designed the space.

It is called a work of art because it involves thinking, studying drawings, testing materials, etc, by an artist who has studied these techniques and who can understand the needs of each space. The higher the quality of the artwork, the more it raises the level of the receiver.
